Cutter gloves are the best I hear for DBs. They have a pair specifically for DBs on their website, but you can usually just use a pair of receiver gloves for the same effect.
As far as keeping them in good condition, when I was a receiver in HS, one of the coaches suggested we not use them in practice since that'll just wear them out faster. Besides that pouring some warm water on them after games should keep them in good condition longer, but they will lose their grip overtime no matter what, which is why only using them for games is a good idea.
If you are getting this upset over a movie and it is really disrupting your life (you've asked like 13 questions about it already), than I really think you have bigger problems than Episode III. I understand that it is normal to be affected by a movie, but you are acting as if Anakin is real person. Getting upset does not change the outcome of the movie.
Tell your mom and dad that you think something is wrong and want to talk to a psychologist.
In the meantime, put the Star Wars saga on the shelf and watch something outside of the Sci Fi genre for awhile.
